The tasks are defined in an incremental way – i.e. settings from the preceding task are
used, unless specified otherwise.
Task 1: Implement transfer function model of the temperature stabilization plant
(lecture room), set c = 2, d = 4.
Task 2: Implement and simulate a scenario with heater being off and outdoor
temperature decreasing from 0°C to -2°C in the 2nd moment (sec) of simulation.
Display the graph of y(t). Comment on plant's reaction to the step change of outdoor
temperature.
Task 3: Increase thermal resistance of the walls to 200% of its value. Run simulation.
Display the graph of y(t) and provide comment.
Task 4: Assume the room is now two times higher and two times longer. Implement
this assumption. Run simulation, display graph of y(t) and comment on plant's
behaviour.
Task 5: Implement and simulate a scenario in which heater is switched on in the 3rd
moment (sec) of simulation. Set its power to 1. Display the graph of y(t) and comment
on the result of such manual control.
Task 6: Find a value of heater's power which makes indoor temperature is getting
back to its initial value. Display the graph of y(t).
